These are a few of my favourite things

I'm finally getting around to my assignment from Sandy at The Adams Family. The challenge? I'm to list ten favourite things beginning with a letter I'm assigned. I know, I've done this before but it's still fun. Last time I did "C" anyway. This time, I've been given "S".

Here goes, in no particular order:

Suvi - OK, so I shouldn't really be saying that I have a favourite child but she's my only girl so I'll say that she's my favourite girl!

Silliness - I'm a goof. I admit it. So sue me.

Strength - I think most every mother I know has this, whether she knows it or not. It's one of my favourite qualities in a person.

Smarties - I'm a serious chocolate lover and Smarties are no exception. So easy to pop and so easy to eat the whole box! Yikes!

Squash soup - Mmmmmm. Nothing like a hot bowl of freshly made butternut squash soup.

Smiles - There's nothing like a smile to cheer me up. Whether it's my kids or a stranger, it's always nice to be on the receiving end of a friendly smile.

Snow - I do love snow. Softly falling snow on a winter's morning is just so relaxing to watch. Snowball fights and snowman crafting are also on the fun list!

Singing - I'm no Measha Brueggergosman, but I do love to sing. We all love singing around here. It's good for the soul.

The Spa - who doesn't love the spa! Don't get there as much as I'd like these days, but when I do get in, even if just for a pedi, it's a real treat.

The Sun - Sunlight is like fuel for me. I think I'm solar powered, actually.

Silence - I know this is eleven but I had to mention silence. There isn't much of it in my life these days but I cherish it when it comes.

If anyone wants to play along, let me know and I'll throw you a letter! It feels good to think about things that we love. I should do this regularly...

It was great to read this, because my friend Jen was also assigned "s". The second on her list was great! (First thing I thought of anyway!)

I thought you listed Suvi not because she was your favourite child or anything, but because she is your favourite child whose name starts with the assigned letter. I have no problems with that!
